I became a nurse after experiencing the immense love, support and guidance of the nurses and nurse practitioners caring for my mother during her battle with terminal cancer. I was amazed by their empathy and kindness during her extensive and painful treatments… I was inspired by the comforting space they created for my family to celebrate and honor her in her final moments. Those nurses were unwavering guides through such difficult and complicated moments in my life.  That resonating feeling of support and compassion helped form the foundation of my personal advanced practice nursing philosophy.

Nurse Practitioners work as part of an intricately orchestrated team of healers to guide, support and educate families going through one of the most difficult experiences of their lives. As a fiercely passionate advocate for the smallest and most vulnerable patients in the hospital, I strive to provide high-quality, evidence-based, compassionate, holistic and family-centered care to each baby and family that I encounter. Each family that comes through the doors of a NICU will be forever changed by the experience, and it is our responsibility as advanced practitioners to lead the way, guiding them through their NICU journey with love and compassion.

I am passionate about incorporating the latest research and evidence-based practices into my clinical decision making. I am enthusiastic about educating and growing all our team members and I embrace the inter-disciplinary framework for care that is essential to caring for critically ill and premature infants. I welcome the enormous potential of healthcare technology to influence and improve patient outcomes.
